Job Description Summary
The highly qualified and experienced ultrasound technologist will be a Cardiac Sonographer at the Penn Center for Quantitative Echocardiography and be responsible for the acquisition of highly specialized echocardiographic studies utilizing 2D, 3D, and Doppler techniques. Sonographer will compile and maintain files according to department procedures. Sonographer will perform specialized offline quantitation of echocardiographic images according to the American Society of Echocardiography and department guidelines, ensuring accurate, precise, and reproducible results. Sonographer will engage in continuing education related to state-of-the-art ultrasound techniques for the assessment of cardiovascular physiology.
Job Description

Job Responsibilities
- Scanning transthoracic 2D, 3D, and Doppler echocardiograms
- Offline quantitation of ultrasound images
- Document and maintain records regarding echoes performed in the lab
- Perform pre-reads of echocardiograms
- Coordinate maintenance of echo machine with vendor and maintain records
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
