The Financial Administrative Coordinator will work with the Senior Business Administrator and other financial team members to process, track, and reconcile day-to-day purchasing, payables, and travel and expense reimbursement transactions for a large academic department at the Wharton School. Using University systems, which include but are not limited to : BEN Financials, Concur, and Penn Marketplace, this position is responsible for ensuring all transactions are compliant with applicable policies and reviewing any issues or discrepancies with the Sr. BA prior to processing. In addition, this position is responsible for reconciling transactions, entering journals when necessary, maintaining records and confidentiality, and serving as a resource to departmental staff and faculty regarding policies and procedures. Will also provide backup with Workday in the absence of the Payroll Coordinator. The successful candidate will be organized, efficient, and have exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications
- High School Grad / GE Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Associates with 3-5 years of related experience is preferred.
- Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work independently as well as part of a team with faculty and staff and students, while demonstrating proactiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Candidate must be capable of maintaining accurate records and handling confidential documents with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat applications is preferred.
- Experience working in a university environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with UPENN financial systems (BEN Financials, Business Objects, Concur, Workday) is helpful.
