What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Financial Aid position at The University of Pittsburgh?
Assistant Director of Financial Aid
Directs, coordinates, and oversees the University's financial aid program. Ensures that financial aid contributes toward enrollment goals.
- Oversee all aspects of federal, private, and institutional loan programs (i.e., awarding and reconciliation)
- Review daily reports that include, but are not limited to, loan error reports, over-award reports, grade level changes, bankruptcy status, and loan aggregate limit review.
- Provide cross-training on all loan program processes.
- Serve on financial aid specific committees (i.e., SAP Committee) as needed.
Most work is sedentary, completed within an office setting. Some counseling/presenting is performed at other campuses and off-campus sites. Employee must be able to move about the campus to meetings and travel to locations outside of the University of Pittsburgh.
