HERL Postdoctoral Associate
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Postdoctoral Associate in the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) within the School of Medicine. This position will be part of a rich collaborative environment with a focus on continuously improving the mobility and function of people with disabilities through advanced engineering in clinical research and medical rehabilitation. The incumbent will work with team members, community organizations, and collaborators. They will actively participate in local and international conferences.
The position will be responsible for conducting and supporting rehabilitation and assistive technology research, mentoring undergraduate students, writing and co-authoring scientific/technical publications, and writing or assisting in grant proposals. The incumbent must be able to show leadership, flexibility, and initiative.
Incumbents must be eligible for a Without Compensation (WOC) appointment through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
