Outreach and Recruitment Specialist
Pitt Business is seeking qualified applicants to support the enrollment and admissions operations for the Katz Graduate School of Business. This position serves as a primary liaison to prospective students, providing individualized communication to guide them through the admissions process. The specialist is responsible for converting prospective student leads into applicants and supporting applicants through their journey to enrollment. Key duties include serving as a primarily liaison for prospective and current applicants, assisting with daily admissions operations, and fostering strong relationships to promote the school’s programs. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to relationship management, and a commitment to enhancing the prospective student experience.
Job Duties
Outreach and Engagement
- Serve as the primary outreach coordinator for leads, prospects, and applicants.
- Provide timely, individualized outreach and follow-up to prospective candidates.
- Coordinate, recruit and assist with recruiting and networking events.
Program Knowledge
- Represent the brand and value of the Graduate MBA and MS programs, including both full and part time programs.
- Accurately and consistently respond to candidate inquiries about program benefits, admission requirements, and formats.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Candidate Development
- Collaborate with Enrollment Management and Admissions to convert leads into applicants.
- Coach prospective candidates through the application process using multiple communication channels.
- Optimize candidate interactions to increase program interest and support enrollment decisions.
Candidate Conversion
- Maintain contact with candidates before and after interviews to ensure engagement.
- Articulate the program's value and alignment with candidate goals to support enrollment.
- Employ closing strategies to convert applicants into enrolled students.
- Meet established recruitment targets.
Applicant Retention
- Maintain communication with applicants during the review process to ensure ongoing engagement.
- Support accepted candidates during their transition to enrolled student status.
- Participate in orientation and engagement events as needed.
Information and Data Management
- Accurately update and maintain candidate interaction records and activities in the CRM system.
- Help ensure all candidate materials are complete and accurate.
- Use approved communication templates and resources to provide consistent, clear, and accurate information.
Bachelor's degree required with one year of experience.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and data management skills.
- Knowledge of graduate business programs and their benefits.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and other communication tools.
