Scientific Writer II
Assists, in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams, with writing large, multi-investigator grant proposals and other manuscripts, as well as editing scientific reports, assisting with website copy, providing writing/editing support for book chapters, editing reports by internal and external stakeholders, and developing ad hoc requested materials. Implements critical scientific research editing to documents and maintains compliance with all guidelines and regulations.
- Researches and identifies funding opportunities; manages and coordinates outreach materials
- Complies with all requirements, deadlines and procedures according to the University of Pittsburgh and funding agencies
- Coordinates writing goals between multidisciplinary teams (e.g. clinical and basic science teams)
- Maintains records, schedules and databases for grant applications
- Assists, in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams, writing large multi-investigator grant proposals and other manuscripts, as well as editing scientific reports, assisting with website copy
- Implements critical scientific research editing to documents and maintains compliance with all guidelines and regulations.
This position is primarily sedentary, but there may be some walking between department areas.
