Student Services Director
This position is responsible for all aspects of student services and educational programs related to the MS, PhD and PhP programs in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Department in the School of Public Health. The candidate will oversee student affairs functions including registration, recruitment, course scheduling, tuition payments and student support initiatives. Maintain comprehensive student records, manage prospective student inquiries, process applications, and track admissions decisions. Coordinate academic committees, including but not limited to examinations, admissions and recruitment, program, and student advising. Serve as primary contact for students, provide guidance on university policies and procedures and monitor academic progress. Plan and execute departmental events such as open house, orientation, receptions, and development workshops to enhance student and alumni engagement. Position also develops and sustains alumni relations, coordinating opportunities such as networking events, seminars, and career panels to strengthen connections between current students and graduates. Lead recruitment efforts by developing marketing and promotional materials, managing outreach and implementing new initiatives in collaboration with department committees responsible for admissions and recruitment. Candidate should be comfortable with heavy student contact and be able to work independently and as part of the overall administrative team.
Job Summary
Provides direction and oversight of the student services programs. Plans, organizes, and directs goals for assigned units and participates in strategic planning and decision-making efforts. Develops budgets and performs associated financial duties. Oversees student records and advises student groups. Directs the management of and response to student crises.

- Develop initiatives to strengthen connections between alumni and current students
- Maintain alumni records and track engagement
- Facilitate academic committees, including graduate program, educational, milestones and advising
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to student affairs
- Maintain accurate records for all student related processes
- Manage recruitment marketing and related social media
- Provide data and reports as requested
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. My be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
