This is a semester-by-semester, temporaryappointment based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Multipleopportunities across a variety of courses are available and applicantsshould have expertise in one or more of the following areas :
- Strength and conditioning (CSCS certification) / Weight Training
- SCUBA
- First-Aid / CPR
- Physical Education
- Sport Coaching Education (experience coaching individual or multiple sports)
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Exercise Science
- Exercise Physiology
- Exercise Psychology
- Sports Psychology
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with proof of certification to support specific expertise (Red Cross Instructor Certification to teach first aid courses; CSCS to teach activity courses) - OR- a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Nutrition, or a closely related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Nutrition, or a closely related field. Teaching experience in K-12 physical education. Coaching experience. Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas.
