Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and deliver Medical Laboratory Science lecture courses.
- Develop, modify, setup, and deliver laboratory lectures for Medical Laboratory Science courses.
- Develop, modify, and deliver content for undergraduate and corresponding graduate-level Medical Laboratory Science courses in both face to face/campus and online formats.
- Advise students in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Participate in school, college, and university service activities such as but not limited to recruitment, committee membership, as well as tenure and promotion
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum qualifications for the position include a Master's degree in a natural science or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Additional qualifications include 18 hours of graduate-level courses in medical laboratory science and evidence of commitment to excellence in teaching. ASCP certification as a medical laboratory scientist is required with continuing education.
- Minimum qualifications for the position include an earned PhD or EdD in a natural science, education, or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Additional qualifications include 18 hours of graduate-level courses in medical laboratory science and evidence of commitment to excellence in teaching. ASCP certification as a medical laboratory scientist is required with continuing education.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and an online Learning Management System like Canvas.
- Medical Laboratory Science generalist skills (special certification, education or interest in Chemistry, Hematology and/or Management, desirable).
