Job Description
The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Student Recruiter with t he College of Nursing. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Length of Assignment : Approximately 6 months
Work Schedule : Full time, Monday-Friday 8-5
Rate of Pay : $18.00 / hour
The Student Recruiter role is a student-facing position, reporting to the Director of Student Services in the College of Nursing. This position focuses on engaging prospective students and supporting their journey through the recruitment and admissions process for the College of Nursing programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective nursing students, providing information about programs, admissions requirements, and application procedures.
- Plan, organize, and attend recruitment events, such as college fairs, open houses, and high school visits, to promote the College of Nursing.
- Develop and deliver presentations to prospective students, families, and key partners about the College of Nursing's offerings and career opportunities in nursing.
- Collaborate with the College of Nursing's Admissions partners (e.g., admissions specialist, Director of Student Services, program chairs, associate dean of undergraduate programs, etc.) to provide guidance to prospective students on application timelines, prerequisites, and admissions criteria.
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of prospective students by following up through email, phone, and virtual communication.
- In collaboration with key partners, develop recruitment strategies and materials tailored to attract a diverse applicant pool, including underrepresented and non-traditional students.
- Collect and analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and recommend improvements.
- Support the coordination of campus tours specific to the College of Nursing, highlighting program facilities and resources.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with program goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned and appropriate for the role.
