Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to join our team. The selected candidate will work closely with College of Natural Sciences leadership to maximize the effective and strategic utilization of endowment distributions. This role is crucial in ensuring that endowment resources are allocated in ways that align with the college's mission and goals, thereby enhancing our capacity to drive innovation and foster academic excellence.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration and 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a financial setting. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Experience with planning, forecasting, cost and financial analysis. A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, Smartsheet and DocuSign. Professional oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with little supervision and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Ability to work with various constituents including unit staff and senior leadership. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of UT-Austin academic business functions. Demonstrated knowledge of UT business systems and tools (i.e. DEFINE, Workday, Cognos, PowerBI, etc.).
Salary Range
$65,000 Depending on Qualifications

- Work with College of Natural Sciences leadership to maximize strategic utilization of endowment distributions.
- Oversee preparation of annual endowment distribution budgets. Review and approve departmental endowment budgets, prepare Dean's Office endowment budgets.
- Prepare and maintain financial reporting for endowments. Maintain database containing endowment related commitment documentation. Respond to request for information on endowments.
- Coordinate with College of Natural Sciences Development Office and the University Development Office to ensure endowments are in compliance with donor criteria and university rules.
- Maintain costing allocations for salary appointments made on endowments.
- Coordinate with College of Natural Sciences Faculty Affairs to manage proposals for faculty endowed holder and fellow appointments, associated financial allocations, and recruitment packages
- Other related functions as assigned
