Responsible for all phases of program development and coordination of program activities.
Core Responsibilities
Program Coordinator
- Responsible for assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
- Proposes, evaluates and coordinates the implementation of programs.
- Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
- Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
- Produces and distributes program materials.
- Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
- Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements.
- Makes recommendations to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
- Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results.
- Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel.
- Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels, and assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
- Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
- Promotes an environment of safety and protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Administers, coordinates, and participates in activities involved in assigned programs or projects, including budgeting, scheduling, marketing, training, and evaluating programs.
- Develops and implements standards for the attainment of program goals and objectives.
- Maintains frequent interaction with departments, special groups, and external agencies in administering programs.
- Facilitates the development of new partnerships for various programs.
- Evaluates and reports on program results.
- Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
- Coordinates staff training and development.
- Determines work priorities.
- Works on special projects as assigned.

Program Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in program administration or coordination.
Senior Program Coordinator
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to interact professionally with faculty staff students and the public.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of all standard office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
