Job Summary
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of student engagement and retention programs. This includes the management of Student Organizations, Leadership & Service, Patriot Pantry, and oversight to Campus Activities. Provide general support and guidance to the Department of Student Engagement.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Facilitate the management and compliance of student organizations, event requests, and policy interpretation.
- Provide support, oversight, and leadership to programs that relate to departmental initiatives, retention efforts, and collaboration with other department to further the mission and goals of the University and the Division. This includes but not limited to new student convocation, homecoming, patriot days, welcome weeks, student engagement platform operations, and Patriot Pantry oversight.
- Supervise and support departmental programs and staff in areas including but not limited to student organizations, Leadership & service, and campus activities.
- Perform administrative tasks, assist with strategic planning, departmental assessment, and evaluation of programs.
- Assist the Director in the management of leadership & service and campus activities annual budgets and the effective use of department resources.
- Provide marketing and conduct departmental outreach regarding programs and initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports detailing Student Engagement programs impact on student retention and satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in a Student Affairs area.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Student Affairs areas preferred.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
