Express Care and Emergency Room APP

Currently seeking a .50 FTE APP position at Porter Medical Center in the Express care and Emergency Room, providing coverage between both departments. Some weekends are expected.  This will be 10 - 12-hour shifts, days only, no nights. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and work well autonomously.

The Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with approximately 10,000 visits annually.  We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology.  We admit adult patients to a hospitalist service and we have a LTC/Post-Acute Rehab facility on campus.  Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI.   We are located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients.

Requirements: 

• NP/PA graduated from accredited program
• 1 year Urgent Care experience preferred
• BLS
• ACLS
• Active State license in good standing
