What are the responsibilities and job description for the Express Care/Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - PMC position at UVM Health Network- Porter Medical Center?
Currently seeking a.1 FTE APP positionat Porter Medical Center in the Express care and Emergency Room, providing coverage between both departments.
Some weekends are expected. This will be 10 - 12-hour shifts, days only, no nights. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and work well autonomously.
Porter Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Middlebury, Vermont. As the second largest employer in the County we consider our employees to be our greatest resource. The Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with approximately 10,000 visits annually. We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology. We admit adult patients to a hospitalist service and we have a LTC/Post-Acute Rehab facility on campus. Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI. We are located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients.

Requirements:
NP/PA graduated from accredited program
1-year Urgent Care experience preferred
BLS
ACLS
Active State license in good standing
Additional Information:
salary range: $118,199.57- $165,479.40
