Role Description: As a Patient Safety Expert at The University of Vermont Health Network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of patient care. You will work closely with our quality management department to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them. Your expertise in systems analysis and performance optimization will be essential in helping us achieve our goals of delivering high-quality patient care while minimizing costs and reducing risks.
You will analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations for process improvements. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, make you an ideal candidate for this position.
The successful candidate will have a State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license, a BSN degree, and preferably an MSN degree. They will also have experience in a healthcare environment, with a proven track record of interpreting and evaluating accreditation standards. Five years or more of increasing responsibility in systems, quality, or healthcare administration is preferred, as is demonstrated management ability and strong communication/presentation skills.
