Job Description -
Our Team Members deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, and point-of-sale devices. The ideal candidate has previous retail experience, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business including the names and faces of our box holder customers in the shortest possible time. We are looking for part time and full time positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES for Team Member
· Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
· Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership
· Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
· Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative sales solutions, and industry trends
· Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert sales fashion and is willing to teach others
· Maintains a clean and safe working environment
Requirements of Team Member/Sales Associate
· Strong computer and internet skills
· High school diploma or GED
· Friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor
· Professional appearance
· Able to lift 25 pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet (take on and off counters and shelves).
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of a co-worker and hand truck.
