The Assistant Store Manager helps to run day-to-day operations of The UPS Store retail location. He/she helps manage productivity and ensure that customers receive world-class customer service. Qualifications
- Stellar attendance record at previous workplaces
- Available weekends & weekdays, flexible schedule
- HS diploma required, advanced degree or coursework a plus
- 2-3 yrs. experience in retail or customer service (Supervisory experience a plus)
- Excellent references from previous supervisor(s)
- History of being on time and reliable
- Record of being a optimistic team player
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers
- Process & manage product returns
- Pack and ship customer items
- Open and closing the store / follow open & close procedures
- Assist with cost control and expenses
- Focus on profit / loss and continuous improvement
- Assist with personnel management
- Stay up to date with new products/services
- Assist with hiring, coaching, scheduling of staff
- Store cleanliness & organization, restocking shelves
- Cross-sell and up-sell products & services, other marketing activities
- Additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills, proven leader
- Excellent computer skills – Microsoft (Adobe a plus)
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be on your feet for various lengths of time
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment

- Must be available weekends and weekdays, No exceptions
- Store Hours 8am-6:30pm M-F, Sat. 8am-2pm, Sun. 10am -3pm
