Store Associate

Summary:

Primary responsibility is to deliver world-class customer service to customers. This requires strong interpersonal skills, effective oral/written communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Computer application knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), is recommended and may be required. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and of Internet applications is preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Indesign is a plus! (but not required). Physical requirements include the ability to stand for several hours at a time and ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases accurately
• Cross Selling and Recommending relevant Products and Services
• Handle Shipping and Receiving of packages using the Counter Manifest Software for tendering shipments/dropoffs and Package Inventory for pickups and mailboxes.
• Carefully pack shipments in stocked boxes, or customize boxes, for safe transport in accordance with UPS Packaging guidelines
• Use Printer/Copier, Fax Machine, Cutter, Folder, and other document finishing machines in a safe, and productive manner.
• Perform end of day procedures: Tender declaration (Cash, checks etc.), accurately and in accordance to procedure
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• General Housekeeping

• Punctual, Reliable, independent and confident
• High school degree required, prior experience in retail and services is preferred
