What are the responsibilities and job description for the UPS Store Associate position at The UPS Store?
-Provide excellent customer service in an over the counter retail environment
-Process customer shipments via UPS computer systems – Includes weight and measurement of packages
-Pack customer packages utilizing UPS Packaging Guidelines and materials
-Utilize cash register to complete customer transactions; reconcile registers
-Mail sorting and placement into customer mailboxes
-Perform other mail duties as assigned
-Sell other products and services of The UPS Store-Assist customers with copy, print, notary and fax services
-Perform various printing responsibilities using common software applications. (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator)
-Other general housekeeping responsibilities as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
-Excellent customer service skills
-Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in oral and written (e.g., email) form
-Good typing and computer skills
-Good quantitative aptitude – ability to work a cash register and reconcile at end of day
-Ability to stand for 8 hours; ability to lift 50 lbs.
-High school diploma
