Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, promote products, and contribute to the overall success of the store. It requires outgoing personality, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage a team for peak performance in a retail-service environment. Other skills required are strong organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, some accounting knowledge, good computer skills with knowledge of Internet applications
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
- Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations and explain features and benefits.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain an organized stock area and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales analysis.
- Ability to effectively upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for transactions.
- Bilingual candidates are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Experience in product demonstrations is beneficial but not required.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
