About the Role:
As a Laboratory Assistant/Tech, you will play a vital role in conducting, managing, and communicating laboratory tests to support our patients' care. Your responsibilities will include performing phlebotomy, handling lab specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with lab regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine lab tests, including urinalysis, microscopic urinalysis, PSA, NMP 22, and other in-house diagnostics.
Conduct phlebotomy procedures efficiently and professionally.
Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with CLIA regulations.
Log, process, and track patient specimens, coordinating send-out tests as needed.
Manage lab reports via Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and follow up on outstanding tests.
Keep laboratory equipment clean and in good working condition.
Order and manage laboratory supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients regarding lab results and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
✔ Experience:
- 1-2 years in a medical lab or office setting processing blood, urine, pathology, or cytology specimens.
- OR Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, LPN, or Medical Tech.
✔ Tech Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is required.
✔ Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required, But a Plus!):
⭐ 2 years of experience as a Clinical Lab Technician.
⭐ Medical Lab Tech Certification.
