Job Description:
Performs data entry of accurate enrollment, withdrawal, and demographic data on students which must comply with TEA policies and procedures for student attendance accounting. Has a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to school attendance. Promotes the mission and vision of the district. (Bilingual Preferred)
Illustrative Duties:
- Compiles and verifies student attendance reports.
- Performs a variety of enrollment and attendance record management, storage, and retrieval functions.
- Operates multi-phone line system.
- Maintains control of front office area.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding staff and related issues.
- Greets and directs all Visitors.
- Maintains manual absentee log, post absentee list, and balance absentee log.
- Generates and distributes student attendance referrals to teachers and administrators.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Responsible for reporting to Student Information & Reporting Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- One to three years general office experience.
- Bilingual Preferred
Educational Requirements:
- High-school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of work experience is equivalent to one year of college requirements.
Other Requirements:

- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.

- Is reliable, punctual, and possesses great time management details (i.e. meets deadlines regularly).

- Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, twist, bend, climb, and/or be mobile.
- Ability to travel throughout the district and city by means of private or public transportation. If driving personal (or private) vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage.
