QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one years experience in maintenance.
Demonstrated abilities in carpentry, painting, appliance installation and repair, auto maintenance and repair, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning system. Lock & Key service and repair. Operation of lawn equipment. Skills in winterizing swimming pool, buildings and vehicles. First Aid/CPR certification. Restraint techniques.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This employee is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks, which involve the maintenance of buildings, ground and equipment at the Vashti Center.
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with other members of the maintenance staff in servicing electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning equipment, and in maintenance tasks involving all agency buildings and grounds.
2. Winterizes the swimming pool, building and vehicles.
3. Performs carpentry work.
4. Performs painting task as assigned.
5. Performs general cleaning as necessary and as assigned.
6. Installs new equipment, appliances, and appliance and/or automotive parts.
7. Maintains lawn and grounds care including seeding, mowing, weeding, trimming, general clean-up.
8. Assist with moving staff’s furniture.
9. Lock & Key service and repair. Keeps required records; attends staff meetings and training as appropriate; and represents the agency in a professional manner. Performs other duties as assigned and/r agreed upon by the supervisor.
10. Communicates to supervisor the needs of the department.
11. Represents Vashti in a professional manner at all times.
