Position Overview
As a Fastener Specialist at Elite Fasteners, you will play a critical role in translating complex customer requirements into accurate, cost-effective quotes. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and technical understanding of fastener products, plating, heat treat specifications, and blueprint reading. While the role is based in the office, you will collaborate closely with both the shop floor and internal teams to ensure precision and clarity in all quotations.

This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys diving into the technical aspects of a product and working through challenges, while still interacting with customers and contributing to their overall satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and create detailed quotations based on customer specifications for fastener products
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, ask the right questions, and offer technical insights for accurate, efficient solutions
• Stay up-to-date on plating, heat treat specifications, and evolving industry standards to ensure quotes are aligned with the latest guidelines
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (imperial and metric) to ensure full understanding of customer requirements
• Work closely with internal departments (quality, production, sales) to ensure smooth communication and accurate quote generation
• Provide technical guidance and support to both customers and internal teams when issues arise or questions come up
• Maintain organized records of quotes, orders, and customer communications
• Ensure the successful transition from quote to order, ensuring all details are captured accurately
• Some travel may be required to meet with customers and discuss requirements in more detail

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (preferably in a manufacturing or fastener-related industry)
• A strong analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and break down complex requirements
• Technical understanding of fasteners, plating, heat treat specs, and industry guidelines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (imperial and metric measurements)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with intermediate Excel skills
• Previous experience with sales quotations or customer service is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks at once
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, but not required
• CAD or other technical design software knowledge is a plus, but not required

Working Hours

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some flexibility
