Job Summary: A skilled Handyman is needed to handle various maintenance and repair tasks at our prestigious country club. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills and be capable of performing duties that involve plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to maintain the high standards of our club.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the club's building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Repairs: Address minor issues such as leaky faucets, broken windows, and faulty electrical outlets to ensure the club's facilities are always in top condition.
- Plumbing: Install and repair fixtures such as sinks and toilets, and perform other plumbing tasks as needed.
- Electrical: Replace light bulbs, fuses, switches, and outlets. Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues.
- Painting and Drywall: Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the club.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
- General Housekeeping and other duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- Experience: Previous experience as a handyman or in a similar role is preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose problems, determine the best solutions, and implement repairs effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with club members and staff, providing clear explanations of work performed.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and complete work within deadlines.
- Tools and Equipment: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as other maintenance equipment.
Other Qualifications:
- License: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
- May involve exposure to dust, dirt, and hazardous materials, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- The role may require working at heights, in confined spaces, and using ladders or scaffolding.
