We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our Technology and Business Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and will support a variety of technologies, tasks, and support requests based on business needs.
Location: 5650 Main Street, Manchester, Vermont, 05650
Candidates who are residents of VT are eligible to enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, working onsite from our office in Manchester Center, Vermont, three days per week and at home. All candidates must be within a commutable distance to, and available to work from, our office in Manchester Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues.
- Train end users on our technical systems and applications.
- Administer user accounts, user groups, and file permissions in a Windows Active Directory environment
- Solve computer problems such as slow performance, VPN issues, e-mail problems, software installation and configuration
- Provide off-hours, rotating, on call support
- Travel between our locations in southern Vermont as needed to provide on-site assistance
What you bring:
- Someone who can effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- A disciplined, well organized, and trustworthy team member.
- Strong time management, organizational, and documentation skills
- A basic understanding of networking and remote access technologies
- 2-3 years of progressive IT experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS
- Ability to pass a background check
Desirable But Not Required:
- Associates or technical degree
- Experience with OSX
- Experience with retail Point of Sale systems
- Certifications such as CompTIA A
