This long-term position is not appropriate for a student with a rotating schedule per semester. It also requires year round availability, including holiday breaks and summer. Students needing these breaks off need not apply.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced veterinary clinic environment. Your primary responsibility will be to greet clients, schedule appointments, and assist with various administrative tasks. Must be available every 2-3 weekends for a Saturday morning shift
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule appointments for veterinary services and procedures
- Maintain accurate client records and update information as necessary
- Collect payments for services rendered and provide receipts to clients
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Provide basic information about veterinary services, procedures, and pricing
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist prefered
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology is highly desirable
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care, kennel operations, equine care, pet grooming, animal care, laboratory procedures, aseptic technique, animal restraint, and animal handling is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and staff members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
Note: All positions at our clinic are paid positions. We do not offer unpaid internships.
