What are the responsibilities and job description for the Discharge Upgrade Client Intake Specialist position at The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program?
Key Job Functions :
- Responds to incoming discharge upgrade phone inquiries.
- Conducts discharge upgrade phone intakes for potential case representation.
- Issues records requests via mail, fax, and email.
- Follows up with veterans via call and email for any necessary paperwork.
- Assists with incoming email processing of DU documents and records.
- Assists with ShareFile document management and managing ShareFile invitations to veterans.
- Responds to a high volume of emails from current and potential clients coming into the DU main inbox.
- Responds to voicemails in the DU inbox.
- Explains DU processes and timeline to veterans.
- Coordinate with VSO (Veteran Service Organizations / Officers) for veterans who need additional help.
- Keep track of cases via Prevail case management system and give veterans status updates.
