Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Catering to lead our catering operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service and the successful execution of events. The Director of Catering will oversee all aspects of catering services, including menu planning, inventory control, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement catering menus that meet client needs while adhering to food safety standards.
- Lead and manage the catering team, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance.
- Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Manage cash handling procedures during events to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Coordinate logistics for catering events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Monitor industry trends to continually enhance catering offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience in catering management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Experience in cash handling and financial management within a food service context.
- Background in quick service fast food restaurant operations is a plus.
