Director of Nursing - LPN

Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in nursing administration and assisted living. The Director will lead nursing staff, develop policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards.

Duties

• Provide strategic direction for nursing services to enhance patient care quality and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development.
• Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with best practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of patient documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, focusing on holistic approaches including hospice care when necessary.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the nursing department.
• Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and industry trends to inform decision-making.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in nursing administration or management roles within assisted living.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, nurse management principles, hospice care practices, and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
• Proficient in documentation review processes to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
