JOB TITLE: YCES Regional Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Housing

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the YCES Regional Coordinator will be responsible for streamlining access to the most appropriate housing interventions for youth (16-24) experiencing homelessness or housing instability; overseeing the implementation and on-going administration and development of the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Coordinated Entry System (CES) in Service Planning Area (SPA) 2 of Los Angeles County. Duties include; strategic efforts to enhance system efficiency and effective resource management through SPA-wide collaborations to promote and integrate and sustain response to homelessness. The TAY CES Regional Coordinator will lead the CES project by overseeing the services delivery, outreach and engagement, housing placement and retention, and ensure the project is implemented as envisioned.
REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in human services related field or equivalent, Master's Degree preferred from an accredited college or university and an individual that exhibits the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will be considered.
- At least two (2) years professional experience in a related field preferred.
- Knowledge/Experience in assisting low and very-low income individuals' in accessing affordable housing
- Knowledge/Experience working with homeless individuals preferred
- Experience providing staff supervision preferred
- Understanding of practices of coordinated assessment and housing placement
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for overseeing the implementation and on-going administration and development of the TAY CES in SPA 2.
- Lead the CES project by overseeing the services delivery, outreach and engagement, housing placement and retention, and ensure the project is implemented as envisioned.
- Lead the planning and implementation of CES in SPA 2.
- Oversee and ensure that a Housing First Approach and Prioritization of High Acuity Individuals is the service delivery model.
- Overseeing process and service coordination among TAY partner agencies, identification and enrollment of new TAY partners.
- Work collaboratively with the Adult CES lead/staff at partnering agency.
- Facilitate and attend community meetings related to the development and community awareness-building of CES in SPA 2, and recruitment of new community partners to adopt and embrace TAY CES model.
- Provide supervision, direction, and support to CES Peer Navigator and CES Housing Specialist.
- Provides day-to-day oversight of internal relationships/program operations and external relationships with funders, community partners, and potential volunteers/donors.
- Develop strategic plan for scale-up and successful launch of TAY CES in SPA 2 including, recruitment of new partnerships and housing providers; a sustainability plan for CES beyond funded timeframe, implementation of creative interventions that support national goals of ending chronic homelessness.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
