What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef/Assistant Innkeeper position at The Village Inn of Woodstock?
The Vic Tavern and The Village Inn of Woodstock is seeking a new chef to join our team here in beautiful Woodstock Vermont. Current Executive Chef is seeking an eager recent graduate from a culinary school who will join her in making creative dishes to enhance the warm atmosphere of our speakeasy-type tavern and restaurant. We specialize in Asian/Southern fusion along with upscale gastro pub and our menu changes seasonally. It is a small menu but carefully curated. The right candidate must have (most importantly) a great attitude, good vibes, decent kitchen skills and a willingness to learn.
Along with the kitchen, it is the owners wish that the new candidate would be computer savvy and assist with some minor day to day running of the inn such as checking guests in and out occasionally.
The right candidate will have the choice of having housing included in their package (we have an apartment next door to the inn which is available so easy commute!) or will have an increased wage if commuting locally from your own accommodation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
