Description
The Village School of Naples continues to grow and is accepting resumes for a Maintenance Technician to execute work related to the maintenance of school grounds and buildings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under direction of the TVS Maintenance Supervisor, execute the work orders, projects, repair and maintenance jobs.
- Complete event set-up and break-down, which may require occasional nights / weekends.
- Follow quality, health and safety rules, guidelines and regulations.
- Inspect site regularly to identify problems and maintenance needs and troubleshoot with supervisor to address and prioritize.
- Facilitate safety inspections, as necessary.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Over 2 years of experience in facility/grounds maintenance.
- Associate’s or technical degree is preferred.
- Professional Certifications are a plus.
- Experience with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English and effectively communicate with maintenance personnel and campus staff.
- Computer capability with MS Office products.
- Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures, and maintenance.
- Physical requirements include the ability to use hand and power tools, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
