JOB TITLE: Lead Clinician LTFC
LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to the Program Director
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Generally, the Lead Clinician is responsible for the supervision and administration of clinical services provided to Unaccompanied Children (UCs).
DUTIES:
E = essential function, M = marginal function
1. Coordinates all clinical services. (E)
2. Oversees training of clinicians. (E)
3. Serves as back-up for staff clinicians and may fill in for them as needed. (M)
4. Maintains a clinical case load of 10. (E)
5. Participates in management team meetings. (E)
6. Supervises subordinate staff to include scheduling, assigning duties, evaluating the work performed, approving/denying requests for leave, making recommendations that carry significant weight to the Executive Director for progressive discipline and termination, and making recommendations to the Executive Director regarding pay. Provides positive motivation to staff and guides them in the successful execution of their duties. Mentors staff and leads by example. (E)
7. Maintains appropriate, satisfactory and harmonious relationships with the public, fellow employees and youth. (E)
8. Provides line of sight and sound supervision of youth at all times. (E)
9. Accepts additional duties as assigned. (M)
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: Master’s degree in Social Work and two years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience or a Master’s or Ph.D. in Psychology, Sociology or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a requirement, plus two years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences. Must have supervisory experience and be licensed to provide clinical services in Kansas. Pass a KBI and CANIS background check. A good driving record in order to be insured by The Villages’ insurance company.
PREFERRED: Bilingual (Spanish/English) language competency in both spoken and written forms is preferred.
