Accountable to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, verification of time and attendance reporting, assisting with month-end and year-end document processing and reporting, and processing unemployment and workers compensation payments. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, effective time management, flexibility, empathy, sensitivity to confidential matters, and the ability to interact well with internal staff. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Professionally execute payroll policies and procedures.
- Accurately and timely compile, prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll transactions.
- Work with the HR department to ensure that payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Accurately process time and attendance system entries.
- Assist with compiling data for month-end payroll and tax processes.
- Assist efforts to analyze and reconcile year-end reports.
- Support reconciliation and preparation of W-2 forms and other year-end processes.
- Run ad hoc financial reports as assigned.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding salary, wages, and paycheck questions.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all records and information.
- Support processing of all payroll-related paperwork.
- Maintain compliance under HIPAA.
- Assist with processing all special payment transactions and salary changes.
- Process employee tax related withholding and garnishments in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws.
- Support /help Payroll Manager when needed.
- Review/validate W-2 previews on quarterly basis.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Payroll related experience.
- Proficiency with Payroll software.
- Familiarity with Payroll Taxes and Reporting.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system preferred.
- Must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communications skills.
