Job Description:
As a Night Auditor at the Nicewonder Inn, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours. With the same requirements as the Bellperson, you will be responsible for reconciling daily transactions, preparing financial reports, and providing exceptional guest service to ensure a memorable stay for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nightly audit procedures to verify the accuracy of guest accounts, room charges, and revenue postings.
- Reconcile daily transactions, including room rates, payments, and adjustments, and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports, including revenue summaries, occupancy reports, and guest folios.
- Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours, providing attentive and courteous service.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.
- Monitor security cameras and perform routine security checks of hotel premises to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address any issues or concerns that arise during the night shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and lobby, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Follow established procedures for handling cash, credit card transactions, and guest information in compliance with hotel policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of front desk or night audit experience in a hotel or resort setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours, with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in computerized property management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
