Job Description:

As a Server at Hickory, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. With at least 3 years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment, you will deliver impeccable service with a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.

- Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience.

- Take accurate orders and input them into the POS system with precision, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated effectively to the kitchen.

- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, using proper service techniques and adhering to presentation standards.

- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience.

- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer additional items or services to enhance their experience, such as beverage refills or dessert selections.

- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring timely and coordinated delivery to each table.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room, including resetting tables, clearing dishes, and sanitizing surfaces to meet health and safety standards.

- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions with integrity and attention to detail.

- Uphold the Nicewonder Inn's standards of hospitality and service excellence, exceeding guest expectations with every interaction.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment.

- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and team-oriented attitude.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
