Job Description:
As a Server at the Tasting Room, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests. With a minimum of 3 years of serving experience, you will provide attentive service, share your passion for wine, and ensure that each guest's visit is nothing short of extraordinary. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through the wine tasting experience.
- Present wine selections and provide detailed descriptions, recommendations, and food pairing suggestions.
- Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any questions, concerns, or special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Tasting Room, including tables, bar area, and outdoor seating.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and maintain communication regarding menu availability and specials.
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and reconcile receipts at the end of each shift.
- Uphold all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance wine knowledge, service skills, and product offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of serving experience in a restaurant, winery, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of wine, including varietals, regions, and tasting techniques, with a passion for sharing this knowledge with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and build rapport.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
