Director of Nursing
The W Assisted Living Facility, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing. We have our eye out for an DON who can support a collaborative team approach through providing guidance, and a continued commitment to excellence in resident care. Top candidates must have extensive experience in ALP policies and procedures, strong management skills, and address business from a creative and compassionate point of view.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
Current NYS license and registration as an RN in good standing condition
Minimum (2) years community nursing experience
Knowledge of Adult Care facilitates and applicable regulations desired.
Ability to lead, guide and motivate staff
Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, residents, and families from diverse backgrounds who may have physical, sensory and mental impairments
JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure that the Agency / ALP operations and standards comply with all local, state and federal rules, regulations and statutes;
Participate in the development of administrative policies and procedures
Maintain responsibility for communicating with the CHHA regarding skilled services provided by CHHA staff or a change in a client’s condition that requires assessment by CHHA Staff;
Recommend to the governing authority necessary changes in the policies, procedures and operations of the ALP such that practices remain within requirements and prevailing standards
Familiar with UAS system
Coordinate / ensure care is provided as per resident need
