OVERVIEW
The Housekeeping Supervisor's primary responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction by conducting thorough inspections of both vacant and occupied rooms to uphold hotel standards. This role also includes providing leadership to support these objectives.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create work assignments for room attendants during the opening shift
- Inspect cleaned rooms, addressing minor issues and ensuring major concerns are corrected by the room attendant before re-inspection
- Clean guestrooms and perform janitorial tasks as needed
- Accurately update room statuses in the system
- Communicate closely with the Front Office throughout the day, responding to requests and sending room status updates
- Inform room attendants of changes, such as check-outs, new arrivals, or stayovers
- Maintain housekeeping logbooks for tasks like deep cleaning, bedding changes, shampooing, mattress flipping, etc.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of lost and found items.
- Complete closing duties, including collecting keys and reporting discrepancies to the front office
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a housekeeping supervisory position
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
PAY INFORMATION
- Pay range: $27/hr
