Position Description
The Washington School of Ballet seeks an energetic candidate with significant experience teaching adults in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, Pilates and / or Floor Barre ranging from fundamentals, beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate to advanced levels, and for students from age 18 to 60 . The candidate must possess strong knowledge in classical ballet and / or other dance styles, have extensive experience in teaching specifically adults, be punctual and reliable, a good communicator and team player, follow, and if necessary train, in the school's curriculum, and support the overall goals and mission of the organization at large. The candidate must be available to substitute other classes at various levels.
Key Job Duties
- Teach classes to Adult Students at designated levels.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Actively participate in creating a work culture that celebrates Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging (DEIB).
