The Senior Program Manager develops, plans and delivers immersive, tailored fellowships that include paid internship programming. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position will assist with program conception and planning and be responsible for implementation, participant support, event and session planning, and other broad administrative duties. Moreover, the Senior Program Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage programs effectively in accordance with funding agreements and contracts and ensure robust program assessment and evaluation is completed.
The Washington Center is a remote / hybrid organization with many employees working on average one day per week in TWC's Residential and Academic Facility, conveniently located near Union Station and public transportation in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC. Given our organizational mission focus on skills, workforce development and collaboration, there are times where cross-collaboration among teams and departments will require more than one day per week in the office. Further, some programs at TWC do require program staff to work nights and / or weekends. The individual in this role is expected to reside in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM DESIGN
- Serve as primary point of contact for funding partners and other clients, leading periodic check-ins with and reporting to partner agencies.
- Manage all components of program development and design including selection process, internship placement and coordination, session design, room / space reservations, and materials creation and distribution.
- Design and execute experiential learning including professional development opportunities in consultation with agency partner. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
- Manage program budgets, track and submit program expenses including the vetting of external contractors and contributors, and report budgetary constraints.
- Supervise program advisor and program coordinator(s)
