The Wasserstrom Company, is a leading food service equipment provider in the nation. Doing business since 1902, we are family owned with corporate offices located in Columbus, Ohio. We have an immediate opening for a Returns Specialist in our Purchasing department to coordinate/process the return of excess inventory to vendors and suppliers, and expedite material purchase orders.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with internal Buyers, Distribution Centers, and Sales, along with external suppliers, to return excess inventory
• Process debits for returns and non-compliance fees
• Identify excess inventory and prepare backup information for suppliers
• Maintain calendar for monthly, quarterly, and annual return allowances for program agreements suppliers
• Expedite purchase orders from various suppliers
• Resolve receiving discrepancies
• Provide timely information and follow-up to customer service issues relating to delivery and availability
• Measure excess inventory dollars and monthly return dollars
  
  

Qualifications And Education

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.); or two to four years of expediting experience, two to four years of vendor return experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft
• SAP experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
