If you are highly motivated and able to anticipate the needs of a large senior living community, we would like to meet you. We are looking for someone that is fully knowledgeable in all building systems, safety stands and state and federal compliance regulations. Knowledge of all emergency systems and a history of making sound decisions regarding the maintenance and integrity of these systems is a must!
We are looking for a leader that is a strategic planner, has an excellent ability to manage, supervise and educate their staff. Other responsibilities include: maintaining building repairs, capital item replacements, and managing expenses and projects. What you will need for this position:
- Possess in depth technical understanding involved with repairs and preventative maintenance of heating systems, plumbing, environmental systems, general repairs and construction
- Oversee and provide maintenance for the entire community
- Monitor and evaluate outside contractors
- Arrange fire drills and maintain safety documentation
- Develop and implement building and equipment preventative maintenance programs
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid NYS license
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to prioritize demands, lead a team and make sound decisions
- Possess a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Computer skills to include Word, Excel and other online systems
- Fiscally responsible
