EPI Power is hiring a Bilingual Training Safety Manager to be located in Des Moines, IA.
This role is responsible for creating and delivering comprehensive safety training programs and orientations in both English and Spanish for our construction workforce. This role ensures that employees and subcontractors are well-informed about safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while minimizing on-site risks. This position requires a strong background in construction safety, exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
What You’ll Do :
- Manage and develop safety training programs and materials tailored to construction activities.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials, presentations, and handouts in both English and Spanish.
- Conduct orientations, safety training sessions, and hands-on demonstrations.
- Adapt training content to suit various roles and skill levels within the construction workforce, ensuring information is practical, accessible, and understandable.
- Train employees on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machinery, and tools.
- Ensure training materials and company policies align with current safety regulations.
- Develop and distribute safety manuals, posters, and other educational materials.
- Gather feedback from employees on training effectiveness and update programs accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, certification renewals, and safety compliance metrics.
- Conduct site-specific training based on the unique hazards of each construction project.
- Identify potential workplace hazards and incorporate risk management strategies into training.
- Teach workers how to recognize, avoid, and report unsafe conditions.
- Provide specialized training, such as fall protection, confined space entry, hazardous materials handling, and first aid / CPR
- Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards to enhance training content and maintain the relevancy of training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned
