Role Description
To use your gifts and talents to advocate for and support the collective voice of Middlebury. This role will work alongside Middlebury Residents to create spaces of advocacy, social cohesion, feedback, and ideation that allow us to honor the collective desires of current residents. This role will oversee multiple programs that fall under our Supporting Place Initiative including Akron Hope, Middlebury Block Challenge, and Middlebury Fall Fest.
Program Implementation & Management
- Lead and execute The Well CDC’s Akron Hope program that supports students, teachers, and families at (2) Akron Public Elementary schools and includes In-Classroom Tutoring, Holidays of Hope, Community Connection Events, and other school and/or family programming as needed by school partners
- Communicate effectively with school partners, volunteers, donors, families, teachers and students to ensure high quality programming
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for all programming and events
- Lead and execute large-scale neighborhood programming that includes the Middlebury Block Challenge and Middlebury Fall Fest
- Help coordinate and leverage community resource navigation
- Measure and track program impact through qualitative and quantitative data collection
- Manage the Community Engagement Coordinator
Qualifications
- Background and experience in Program Management, Program Development, event planning, and volunteer coordination
- Ability to relate to and work with diverse types of individuals
- Ability to sustain and execute programming at a high level in a fast paced environment
- Ability to utilize Excel, email, and other electronic platforms
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Flexible schedule with ability to work some evenings and/or weekends when needed
Salary : $42,500 - $47,500
