The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This position requires a highly organized individual who can manage daily HR functions, support staff recruitment and development, and enforce company policies while embodying our core values.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day leadership that mirrors the mission and core values of the agency.
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions based on The Well’s culture-fit requirements; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Recruit and manage volunteers, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the organization and their roles are aligned with the organization's mission and core values.
· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
· Conduct onboarding activities for new employees and facilitate new hire orientation and ensure orientation is completed per agency guidelines.
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
· Evaluate training progress and barriers with agency supervisors to ensure training is effective and meaningful for new team members.
· Facilitate and monitor the completion of employee development activities, including annual evaluations, professional development plans, as well as training and supervision activities.
· Maintain employee personnel files in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Implements and maintains employee recognition programs.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Manages the HR intranet site.
· Organizes, coordinates, tracks, and communicates internal team member trainings.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP desired.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
