The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in IT support, software troubleshooting, and customer service, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support via various communication channels.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues across multiple operating systems, including Linux.
- Utilize tools such as Assembla, Jira and ServiceNow to track and manage support tickets.
- Assist users with VPN connectivity issues and computer networking challenges.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex technical problems.
- Maintain documentation of support processes, solutions, and user guides to enhance team knowledge.
- Provide training and guidance to users on software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Skills
- Strong understanding of various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Solid knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with VPN configurations and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Previous experience in IT support roles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Experience working with software development projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
