Description

We are seeking a strategic, visionary, and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a strong background in Agile methodologies to lead and innovate our organization’s technology strategy. The CIO will oversee the IT department, ensuring that technology solutions are delivered efficiently, are aligned with business goals, and support the company's digital transformation. This role will involve championing the Agile framework within IT projects and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals, leveraging Agile principles for faster delivery and adaptability.
  • Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) across IT and business functions to improve project delivery, responsiveness, and collaboration.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve the company's technology landscape and customer experience through Agile-based solutions.
  • Champion the use of technology as a competitive advantage, driving innovation and fostering an Agile mindset across the organization.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of Agile methodologies across technology teams, ensuring best practices for iterative development, continuous delivery, and customer collaboration.
  • Collaborate with product owners, Scrum masters, and other key stakeholders to create an Agile framework that meets the needs of the organization while delivering business value.
  • Measure and track the effectiveness of Agile processes, adjusting as needed to improve productivity, quality, and speed to market.
  • Ensure that the company’s technology and IT systems are secure, compliant with industry regulations, and aligned with Agile project management standards.
  • Enforce Agile-driven governance models that allow for flexibility in development while maintaining high standards of accountability, transparency, and compliance.
  • Lead efforts in maintaining data security, privacy, and business continuity, using Agile methodologies to ensure quick adaptation to security threats and operational risks.
  • Partner with senior leadership and business units to ensure technology strategies and initiatives align with organizational priorities and customer needs.
  • Promote Agile collaboration across business functions (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to drive synergies, faster decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for Agile principles, ensuring that non-IT departments understand the benefits and encourage their involvement in Agile-driven projects.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with Agile project demands and business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring that they meet Agile project requirements and deliver value.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation across Agile teams, adjusting based on changing priorities and project needs.
  • Champion a proactive approach to cybersecurity within an Agile framework, ensuring that security risks are identified, addressed, and managed in iterative cycles.
  • Lead risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard the company’s digital infrastructure.
  • Ensure that risk management strategies are Agile, allowing quick responses to emerging security challenges.
  • Develop and implement training programs to build Agile capabilities within the IT team and across the organization.
  • Mentor and coach technology leaders, Scrum masters, and development teams to enhance their Agile maturity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all IT and business teams continuously refine their Agile practices and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience
    • 10 years in technology leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a CIO or senior IT executive position.
    • Proven experience leading and managing Agile transformations within large organizations or IT departments.
    • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
    • Experience in driving Agile-based projects in software development, infrastructure, or cloud computing.
  • Certifications
    • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or other Agile-related certifications preferred.
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certifications are a plus.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to drive change and influence organizational culture through Agile principles.
    • Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate technology initiatives into business outcomes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
